Have a
business idea in mind?
The Service Resource Group (SRG) can take your idea and
implement the steps to make it a reality.
Locally owned and operated, the founder, sole owner and CEO,
Cory McConnell, commented on the company motto “Lighting the path of
business.” “We take a client’s idea and pave a clear path to a successful
business. We work closely with local economic developers, in several different
communities, to bring jobs and growth to Indiana communities,” he said.
McConnell says, ”I focus on my employees. I feel really
blessed to have such a great team of people to work with.”
SRG Team consists of seven full time
employees and several part-time employees locally and just over 30 employees in
Indiana.
Three years ago the company didn’t exist. Within the last
three years McConnell and one other employee started the SRG Team, until
business demanded additional employees.
“I wanted business owners to be better stewards of their own business and to give them a cost effective way to be competitive in today’s market. We do not charge hourly fees or rates. We charge a monthly rate (some as low as $40 per month) based on the client’s personally tailored needs,”
“My favorite thing to do is to help companies get off the ground. I love doing start ups.
“We start up with the client’s ideas and try to help make their idea a reality from picking locations, securing financing, marketing, hiring and all other services we offer.”
The services his company offers are: payroll, bookkeeping, human resources, business development, management and consulting, staffing, marketing, design and websites.
Locally, SRG Team is helping Bill Bonham get Montpelier Ag up and running again with marketing, websites, and more cost efficient methods. “We gave him the support and opportunity to succeed,” says McConnell. “We have helped several Blackford County businesses.”
The company also staffs various doctor’s offices throughout the state and revamped Jay County Hospital to be more cost efficient. It also helped start up a new business in Winchester this past year. They have clients throughout the state and even as far as Florida.
One recent business that McConnell is especially proud of is Tiki Tan in Fishers. SRG helped this business owner with start up in January and the business is “exceeding all expectations already in May.”
McConnell lives in Blackford County with his wife Teresa and their three sons ages 3, 5, and 7.
He feels a responsibility as an entrepreneur, “to try and do my part to help the county and state to create jobs.”
